This morning we got invited by another companionship to go to the Mason household for brunch. The mom drove a 2014 Acura MDX and the daughter drove a mazda 3. I was able to connect with their family pretty well. We had pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and OJ for breakfast. I brought my own jug of Nutella to smother my pancakes. At the end of the brunch the family invited me to go with them to a Lakers game when I'm done with my mission. They have season tickets and they sit right behind Swaggy P's son. The seats looked like they were no more than 10 rows back from the court. In two years time I'll be back here hopefully.
My
companion was sick this past Friday along with 2 other elders so we put
them all in an apartment together and 3 of us went out as a tri-pan. It
was Elder Dort, Elder Robinson, and I that went out that day. We had a
blast just teaching and talking with random people.
Service
this past week I shoveled poop from 1 horse, 1 pony, and 3 alpacas. It
had been building up for two and a half weeks so it took us a while to
clean up. This was done at the Budrows household. Then we had to breakup
the brick walkway around Bishop Weavers Pool. The pool is broken so
they decided to just fill the pool instead of paying to fix it.
We
had 5 cancellations this past week, so that was rough. But the Hill
couple has been to church two weeks in a row. They hadn't been to church
in years. The husband thinks we are really cool missionaries because we
talk to him about sports and rap music.
I'm
praying that I'll get my Visa hopefully in the next couple months. I
want to enjoy my time here in California for a little bit longer. I need
to eat at much beef as I can. Also a quick happy birthday to Uncle Don.
Stay safe out there on your street bike. Also safe travels to my big
brutha in a weeks time. Don't go 0-100... real quick! Cali out!
