Week 54: Bro Moses gets confirmed. New investigators found and it's getting real HOT!

This past week has ended on a good note. Yesterday in church I had the opportunity to confirm Brother Moses. Little did we know that he was assigned to give the final talk in sacrament meeting about the importance of the sacrament and on baptism. He is on pace to receive a calling in the near future. We had 78 in attendance. We were planning on being more close to 100, but we had a couple large families that were absent. For English class we had about 10 people. All of which stayed for the gospel discussion. Yesterday Elder Chand and I were able to pick up two new investigators that speak good english and work for US based companies.

Elder Chand is doing great. Him and I get along really well. It honestly feels like we've known each other for a long time but it's only been 3 weeks.

No baptisms this week but we are planning on baptising Sister Riya in two weeks. The weather here is still miserable. It's waaaaayyyy too hot and humid out here. All is well with me.

Week 53: Brother Moses gets baptized, zone gets stronger, a little golf

This past Sunday we had about 82 members at church. Priyanka was able to be confirmed in sacrament meeting. Then also had a baptism for Brother Moses. He gave an absolutely amazing testimony on how he found this church. Elder Chand said he almost cried because he said it reminded him so much of his conversion story. Everyone was impressed with the power that Brother Moses spoke with. Just another example of someone who Heavenly Father prepared for the Gospel.

Elder Chand is a stud. He understands when it's time to have fun and when it's time to go to work. He's continuing to push me into talking to more people and finding each and every day. I hate it but I know it's good for me.

My testimony grew this past week with hearing and feeling the spirit that Brother Moses brought to the Dwarka chapel on Sunday. He's such an upbeat and positive guy and he deserves the best.

My zone is continuing to build the faith of it's members and investigators. Elder Chand and I have been impressed with the weekly numbers that we have been receiving as well as the stories that we hear during our daily call ins.

This morning I played 9 holes of golf at a very nice golf course. It was $10 to play. $14 to rent clubs. and $5 for a caddy. I was very rusty to start but i did finish with two pars and 100 drops of sweat from my face. It is 95 degrees out hear and it's super humid. I probably wont play ever again in India because of the heat.

Weel 52: One year mark, more investigators found

This past week was awesome for Elder Chand and I. We picked up 4 new investigators and set them all on date for baptism. This morning we had a Brother Moses pass his baptismal interview. He will be getting baptized this Sunday. Conference was great too. It was great to hear from Garrit Gong. It's cool to think that I met him back in December and now we get to hear and see him on the big screen. I think I understood his talk the most out of all the speakers. We had a decent turnout of about 60 members.

Elder Chand is doing awesome. I can feel his sense of urgency in getting work done. Then after our work is done he's a totally awesome Elder. Him and I have a ton in common with having our roots from India as well as Fiji. Elder Chand has expressed to me that he's very excited to meet my family over skype this Mothers Day.

My testimony has grown this past week because I constantly find myself struggling with always doing the right thing. Listening to conference is a constant reminder that we all sometimes fall away from our good habits. But we all have chances to return back on the straight and narrow path if we are willing to submit ourselves to our Heavenly Father and are ready to sincerely change.

My zone is doing great. These daily call-ins are an awesome way to keep in touch with our district leaders and too keep us and them accountable for our work. I'm excited to see our entire zone this Tuesday at Zone Meeting. Elder Chand and I have a couple sweet surprises up our sleeves.

Week 51: New companion for Elder Dusara - Elder Chand

Priyanka and Meghna fell sick this past weekend and were unable to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is our hope that they make a speedy recovery. The Dwarka branch is very excited to have Elder Chand back. We had about 78 people in attendance in church. During third hour in church we had a great lesson taught by brother Ajay. He taught us simply from his life experiences about enduring to the end and getting through struggles in life.

I get the feeling that Elder Chand has a fire to finish his mission on a strong note. He's one of my favourite missionaries ever. He a great missionary and individual. He's always upbeat and positive. I can tell that we are going to have a great time serving together. HES FROM LAS VEGAS NEVADA. HES HALF INDIAN AND HALF FIJIAN! He's an awesome dude. Him and I get along so well. There's now three American in my apartment including me. This is going to be a fun transfer!

This past Saturday we had two amazing lessons that were taught in English. We taught Dikshant at the church building. We set him with a baptismal date for the 17th of this month. He's a referral from the Singh family. Unfortunately he doesn't live in our area so we are giving him as a referral to the missionaries in Pitumpura. We also taught Moses The Plan of Salvation. He has some pretty incredible questions for us missionaries. We also set him on date this month on the 24th.

My Zone is doing good. I'm excited for MLC tomorrow. I'm well adjusted to my new companion and ready to work.
